Useful for shopping trips because it can be carried safely across body. Too much flap though which doesn't really serve any purpose. A straightforward top zip would be more practical. However, maybe the flap makes it more secure.

I gave this bag 4 stars, as it seems well made. But its not a bag I will likely use much. The zippers seems strong, and the seems seem good. But the bag is small. Its called a "messenger" bag, but its only the style, not for size. You couldn't get any sort of tablet in this bag. The flap seems, unnecessary. There is no zipper pocket in the flap, on the front side or underneath- the only thing it hides is the zipper to the main pouch- which seems like an unnecessary extra step to get into your bag. The flap seems like it will just get in the way. There is no outside pocket for your phone-no slip pocket or zipper pocket- this seems like a huge oversight in this day and age. So you would have to open the flap, open the zipper to dig out your phone. The puffy jacket feel of the bag is on par with style, but adds bulk to the already small bag. All in all, this is a pass for me. ... show more
