I recently picked up this Amazon Essentials packable puffer for my two boys, and here’s how it performed: What I liked • The water-resistant shell gives real peace of mind for those unpredictable RVA days — from drizzle to windy walks to the bus stop.  • It packs down neatly, which makes it perfect for stacking in the car, kid’s locker, or even slipping in a backpack.  • Hooded design adds extra protection when you don’t expect it — great for early morning drop-offs or field trips. • Simple, clean style: pairs easily with jeans, joggers, and sneakers — so it works with Ezra’s more casual or “on-the-go” days. • Value: You’re getting a solid outerwear piece without breaking the bank — which means you’re free to buy multiples (love that for parenting budgets). What to know / minor caveats • While it’s water-resistant, it’s not fully waterproof or designed for heavy rainstorms. Very light weight coat - nice for shoulder seasons. Best aspects are that it’s easy to squish down for a good car seat belt fit, and light/easy to pack. I would have liked it to be a bit warmer but for running in and out of the car/house/daycare it is perfectly fine!

Very lightweight. Quality similar to other higher priced items. Looks sleek and stylish. Sizing is a little off. This is a size 6-7 (I can’t say that out loud to my kids right now 🙄) and my son is 4.5 years old and is a 60th percentile kid.

I've bought these jackets every year for my kids. They keep them nice and warm, are soft and comfortable, pack well in backpacks, and wash up like new. The jackets are lightweight enough for layering, and my youngest son has never had an issue with the zipper. Just beware, there are pockets on the outside AND inside, so if you have a rock loving kid, you may end up with many pocket rocks 🤣 ... show more
