Not an audiophile or has any real experience with mics or setups. I originally got a T669 in 2020 based on all the positive reviews and that was a solid solid solid microphone that I was really happy with except primarily the lack of mute button and how much background noise it picked up. I didn't need to upgrade, but I was in the mood to try this out and I got it for a great price so the decision was made easier. Overall sound-wise, I think it's really similar sounding to the T669. I would have liked a little more low end tones picked up, but it sounds clear throughout the range. I think people who know their way around mics probably could get it to sound even better, but it's plenty good enough for my untrained ear. The biggest upgrade was the improvement in background noise. I tried both mics in Audacity and it's a noticeable difference in background noise. I liked the fact that I could just pop it onto the mic arm that came with the T669 and the RGB lights are awesome. It provides some cool ambience as I'm just working on my computer. It's great to be able to switch off the lights too, or have them shut off with the computer as well. I like how the smiley face isn't really all that noticeable on the pop filter - which looks and works great. The only beefs I have with it are that the shock mount is pretty huge - I miss the compactness of the T669. This mic is already bigger before you consider the shock mount. The other gripes are that the gain knob is on the rear when it could easily have been in the same position on the front. You can operate it based on feel, but it just makes more sense to have it on the front - which frees up the rear to have the USB connector to go out the rear of the mic for a cleaner look. I also would have preferred a little less sound pickup from the rear of the mic. I sometimes forget to mute the mic when gaming until I notice that it's picking up my speakers. But those are minor things. This is a mic with plenty of bells and whistles for the price tag and it amps up the fun level if you ever need to voice chat.

I really do like this microphone! The quality is really nice on calls. The color changing function is cool, the included pop filter is nice, and the volume control allows me to do some nice Foley-work for Dungeons & Dragons recordings. But that dang mute button on the top turns on and off at random times. Once you tap it, that's all it takes. It's on and off until you unplug the mic, and put it back in. I tried restarting the computer, re calibrating the mic settings... nothing seems to fix it. It's barely a inconvenience, since if I mute manually it doesn't seem to affect the mic at all, but it sucks that a function of the device is something that can render is inoperable. I have no idea how to fix it, and there seems to be nowhere online I can find an answer. It's not a HUGE drawback — if I manage not to touch the mute (on the top) then recording goes pretty normal. But if something touches the top (a bug, my wrist, a mote of dust) the thing goes crazy. Personally I still think it was worth the money, for sure, but it requires some patience to get used to. EDIT 7/7/22: I received help! After posting this review, I ended up getting a message that suggested the mic issue was something called a "grounding issue." I was told to try on a laptop (which I already work from,) restart my computer (which I had done,) or to switch the wall outlet that my computer was plugged into. That latter seemed to work, and after testing it on an hour-long call and having no malfunctions, the issue was fixed. I wasn't expecting to find the help from customer service through the company on Amazon, but it fixed my issue. This product is great. Now with the product fully functional, and the awesome customer service I received in getting things to work properly, I have no issue giving this mic the fully deserved 5-star rating.

I bought this to use on discord while I play games. Took me only a minute to setup and use. I had to turn off Echo Cancelation in discord for it to stop cutting out my voice, now it works as I needed. The range is pretty good. It recommends 6-12 inches away but it picks up like 10 feet away. I can sit back in my chair and the mic still picks up my voice clearly. As for background noise, it does pick up my keyboard typing, but its also right next to my keyboard sooo. I'll have to figure something out. The lights are nice, the transition between colors could be slower and smoother but its not a big deal, I mostly wanted a clear mic

I use this for home & work, and need a mic that works well on a Chromebox without special drivers, or needing EQ software to sound good. This works great out of the box. I did a side by side test with my previous mic, and this had a more natural tone with more bass. I wanted a lower, warmer tone without having to get a Shure SM7B or have the mic right in my face, and this one delivers for sure. I also appreciate that I can change and turn off the RGB, again without needing special software.

I cannot say enough good things about this mic for the price you pay you get sooo much control and the audio quality is amazing. I love everything about it and the color changing lights have so many options too including 2 gradient options. It's not only aesthetically pleasing but is a really good mic. If you don't want to break the bank but want a good mic this is definitely it!

I create content and this is a first for me ever to use a Microphone. Typically I use my Smartphones to create the content that I share on YouTube. It's hard to believe that you can pay so little, for a product that's going to give a lot, in a HUGE WAY, I'm amazed at the quality of the audio, that this microphone provides, when recording.
