I have a miter saw, a standard version that simply chops. For our son-in-law's birthday we got the sliding compound saw and I realized as I walked him through its use, that I wish I had one too. It is super accurate at angle cuts, particularly 45 degree cuts. When I tighten my chopper, the indicator moves a little off-side, forcing you to start tightening a little to the left of the notch. But with this saw, it's very positive and locks right on the money. i also like the sliding feature although it can also be used as a chop saw. It's very well built and solid. I loved the miter saw it cut a 4 x 4 without any issues. (I didnt think it wood). Straight lines and angle were dead on. The only thing for me its heavey to move but that is to be expected that it is a saw Great value

    • I trust RYOBI tools to do the job.
I’ve been using RYOBI tools for over 30 years. I bought the 10” sliding compound miter saw for the larger capacity, it’s replacing a 10” RYOBI miter saw, it might be the first RYOBI tool that I have owned (it’s blue), saw still works great, I gave it to a good friend.

I bought this to help me remodel my kitchen. I had never used a miter saw before but this one was exceptionally easy to understand. Be sure to read the booklet and take every cautionary step. Love this tool. My son has the same saw and there are several improvements to my saw such as a white led in place of red that lights the work are plus gives you a line to cut by.

    • A lot of bang for the buck.
I was hesitant to buy this because of the price. It's pretty darn accurate right out of the box. I'm pretty impressed. All in all a well built machine that is quite accurate at a reasonable price.
